달항아리 Moon Jar, No.3
달항아리 Moon Jar, No.3
$50.00
8.5 × 8.5 inches, drypoint (intaglio) print on Hanji (Korean mulberry bark paper) and chine colle on BFK Rives
The moon jar 달항아리 is a traditional, unadorned Korean white porcelain vessel created during the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1910) and has become an icon of Korean artistic identity. Much of Korean history rides on this simple, elegant, unadorned vessel. This series of moon jar prints is my take on this icon.
